More than a ribbon cutting, this was Keller saying, “Welcome home.”
On September 17, Mountain Mike’s Pizza Keller opened its doors for a re-grand opening that felt less like a corporate ceremony and more like a community gathering. Neighbors came for pizza, families stayed for the fun, and local leaders, businesses and organizations showed up to support a familiar Keller restaurant beginning a fresh chapter under local ownership.
By the time the Greater Keller Chamber gathered everyone outside for the 4:30 p.m. ribbon cutting, the celebration was already in full swing.

Keller Showed Up
The afternoon brought together the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce, Keller Police, members of Keller City Council, Councilman Jarrett “Doc” Armstrong, local business owners, community organizations and plenty of Keller families.

99.5 The Wolf joined the celebration with a live remote, TXAN 24 helped capture the day, and local partners including JR’s BBQ N MORE, Bright As The Sun Face Painting and Kickin’ It Media Group added to the energy around the restaurant.

There were children’s activities, giveaways and a visit from Homer, the Miracle League of Keller mascot. The first 100 guests received a free small pizza, but the strongest part of the event was not the giveaway. It was seeing so many corners of Keller in one place, welcoming owners Mason and Lynn Tarin and their team into this next season.
Pizza With a Purpose
The celebration also supported Miracle League of Keller, an organization that creates opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to play baseball in an inclusive, encouraging environment.

Mountain Mike’s donated 20 percent of the day’s event sales to Miracle League of Keller. Guests and supporters helped raise an additional $400 during the celebration.
That made every order part of something bigger. Families were sharing pizza, local leaders were making introductions, business owners were encouraging one another and a community organization doing meaningful work in Keller was being lifted up at the same time.
A Fresh Chapter Under Local Ownership
Mountain Mike’s may be a familiar name, but Mason and Lynn are giving the Keller location a renewed sense of purpose. They want it to be more than a place where you pick up a pizza on the way home.

The restaurant at 1521 Keller Parkway is built for the way Keller families actually gather. It can be the easy weeknight dinner when nobody wants to cook, the table where a team celebrates after a game, the spot for a birthday party, or the place a local organization chooses for its next fundraiser.
There is room to watch the game, let the kids enjoy the arcade and slow down long enough to share a meal. The goal is quick service when you need it and a welcoming place to stay when you do not want to rush.

What Comes Next
A grand reopening only matters if the energy continues after the ribbon comes down. For Mountain Mike’s Keller, the next chapter includes more family dinners, team celebrations, school and community fundraisers, and partnerships with the people who make this town feel connected.

The weekday lunch buffet is another reason to visit. Available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., it offers a rotating selection of fresh pizzas, specialty pizzas, cheese bread and salad. It is an easy lunch break, but it still gives you time to sit down instead of eating in the car between errands.
The re-grand opening gave Keller a chance to meet the people behind the restaurant and see the kind of local partner Mountain Mike’s wants to become. Keller answered by showing up.
